Paradox & Cheesepuffs was the second album Brian and I ever recorded together. We had absolutely no idea how to make an album...again. We used an old karaoke machine, with mono (not stereo) cords. Using the cheesiest of Casio keyboards and a simple white Fender guitar (and a microphone from Radio Shack), we made this album. The original album was on a 90 minute tape, so to make this fit onto one disk, we had to remove some songs...mostly those which were way too far gone and muddled to record.

How we would lay the tracks is record a layer, then rewind, switch the tape into the other karaoke tape player and dub that onto another tape, while laying another track down over it. What happens, is a complete over-dubbing on one tape side, which layers static on top of static, with each dub used. So, as clear as the original sounded, by the time the song was finished, it was so layered with track upon track, that with had a very muddled and blurred song. The whole album was done this way. You can even tell the songs less in dubbing, due to the clarity of the tracks versus the congested ones.

Regardless, here is our second album made. Very Casio pixelated, and very, very bad. I'm not even going to use a "Name Your Price" on this album (or on the Minstrels of the Natural Language album; since it was recorded in the same fashion). It's so horrible, that to NOT give it away for free would be a completely moronic move. Enjoy...
